My real reasons for going to Norway
By the time this post is published I should be out of Norwegian airspace and, therefore, safe. As a result, I can now reveal all.
In spite of Tall Andy blowing my cover my secret fish surveillance mission was, I think, a success. I’ve an appointment with Boss Lady and Tizzy to remove the microfilm on Tuesday morning but I’m sure that Tall Andy will be satisfied with my findings: There are lots of fish in Norway.
This leaves three other reasons.
First of all, I was keen to see if I could find Slartibartfast’s signature in one of the glaciers.
There’s also a cross against my third reason for travelling. Try as I might, I couldn’t find any trace of the Norwegian Blue parrot and its beautiful plumage.
I regret to have to announce that my final reason - to establish whether or not there are genealogical links between my family and Norway - also drew a blank. This does surprise me as I’ve been told on more than one occasion that I’ve a face like a Norse …
