The G.B.H.A.A.A.P!
Yes, it’s The Great Bank Holiday Answer And Ask Post!
Nicked shamelessly from Michele Agnew, (and happened upon thanks to an unsuccessful and totally unrelated google search) her explanation of how this works is difficult to improve upon:
It is time to socialize and make small talk…….
How shall we do this?
Let me explain:
The person before you has asked you a question. Now, being a pleasant guest, you shall answer. See, small talk! Then you will want to welcome the next guest by asking a question of them.
It really is as simple as answer and ask. Please remember you are a pleasant guest and this is only small talk, albeit of the amusing kind.
As an added incentive (as if you’d need one), we’re getting rather very close to the magical 1,000th comment and I did suggest there’d be a prize for whoever posts that … do you feel lucky?
Question for first person:
What would you have been doing this weekend if the weather’d been better?

This is a grand idea. She had so many comments. What are the most comments you’ve had?

On this blog it was my Educating Tippler competition post with a total of 19 comments. Checking the old place, and the most I ever got there were 5 comments on a post.
Next question: What book would you recommend we read?

Em3: No, Andy. The current question is “What book would you recommend we read?“

Added on May 27th, 2006 at 10:00 pmSorry - I couldn’t help answering the first one! Book? Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-free Productivity by David Allen. It’s brilliant and even if you only follow half of it you’ll find your mind (and desk) is cleared of worrying, stress-inducing clutter.
Next question: Do you agree that radio is much better than television?

Q: “Big Brother” is challenging and ground breaking television. Agree or violently disagree?
Shelly says:
Added on May 29th, 2006 at 2:39 amI suppose you are referring to the television show “Big Brother”. I would have to violently disagree. I really do not like television at the best of times, but I particularly dislike this television show. Ha! Not much of a reason to “violently disagree” with something, but I don’t have any other reason.
