Decisions, decisions

As you may have read, Gordon Brown is cancelling the Home Computer Initiative whereby tax payers could get discounts on their home computers equivalent to their rate of tax by only having the net amount deducted from their salary at source (over a three year period in the case of the Evil Overlords).

Today was the last chance to register for this. I don’t need another computer, obviously, but a saving of up to £300 was ever so tempting.

Given that there are restrictions (according to the EO version of the scheme, we have to buy our computator from those well-informed experts at PC World), do I go for a whizzy gaming PC or an iMac for my “business” work (once I start that going, of course, so I can start charging people for building their websites!)?

I need to decide by Monday, so please chip in with your advice. Thanks.

I’m about to get mine upgraded - but I wouldn’t have a mac if you gave me one!

Em3: Really? Not even one of the new dual core Intel powered ones? By the way, the “chip in” was an unintentional pun.
