Those albums

Mulbo asked:

Wot did you think of your PhotoBox albums?

I have learned a few very important lessons (which I was able to pass on to Tall Andy before he ordered one for Kitten for Mothers’ Day).

  1. Proofread every heading and description at least three times before clicking the “Buy now” button. Be especially wary of using an album with a long title as you don’t get an error message when this first page is populated.
  2. Just because you can fit 70 or so images in a photobook doesn’t mean you should cram in as many as that. I can’t help feeling that 30-35 images with a few more “full page” images would have been better.
  3. Don’t forget that proofreading.

That said, I’m very happy with the quality of the albums - far superior to anything I could have created myself with an album, some prints, glue and a nice pen. I see there are plans to allow for larger books, too.

  1. ..I think they are fantastic value for money! And agree they look better with a “less is more” approach and use of the full page print-to-edge here and there. And the prints don’t slip out and fall down the back of your sofa.
