Well, well, Well(s-next-the-Sea)

I looked at the map and my finger hovered like a pudgy divining rod. As is all too usual, it crept north and I spotted the end of a long distance footpath we all know. Sorted. Off I set.

My first stop was at delightful Blakeney Quay.

Blakeney wasn’t my destination, though. Oh no, I still had a few miles to head to the west.

Twenty minutes later or so and I was pulling into the beach car park at Wells-next-the-Sea, the end (or start) of Peddars Way.

And this way back to the car

I was taken by the Wall Of Words for some reason and have reason to suspect that another blogger may have been there before me.

I decided to head home along the coast road via Kings Lynn. On its outskirts I spotted a signpost to Castle Rising Castle and remembered S&M from next door recommending it as a good location for photographs. Off I turned, then.

I’m not convinced about its suitability - something you may have gathered by the lack of an exterior shot that pleased me - although these three are reasonably acceptable.

  1. Lovely shots, the first and second on the bottom row, especially the first are superb. Well done you!

Em3: Thank you - 1/2s exposure, hand held. I’ll say one thing for the HappyPillsTM - they’ve certainly sorted out my trembling hands!

  2. Normally I’d love the beach huts one but were you at slightly the wrong angle? The lines are too distracting I think. Would be interesting to try the shot again, moving a foot or so each time?

Em3: I know what you mean. That was the best of those I took (in my opinion).
