In other news

Work was.  Um. Bearable.
I was only sick twice before setting off, so that’s not too bad, is it?
I’m still going to see Dr. Whatsit in the morning, though.

It does blog posts too!

I posted this from Flock’s blogging interface.
This is so goooooooood!

Flock off

Remember the heady excitement of playing with a pre-beta browser when Phoenix (now Firefox) first hit the scene?
Wasn’t it fun?
If you enjoyed that, may I exhort you to Flock off. No, really. It’s neat.
There are Linux, ‘Doze and Mac versions, it integrates with your blog (even WordPress) and Flickr and uses del.icio.us as […]

Doctor, doctor

I spent more of last night in the bathroom than the bedroom.
Just thought you should know. Photos to follow, if you’re particularly unlucky.
Once Vesuvius had subsided, I ached my way back upstairs and collapsed onto the bed. Ten minutes later there was a ring at the door. ‘Twas Mandy from next door.
“Are you […]

Well hung

Well I’m happy

Well, I think Frank did a good job.
The church will be replaced with the Winterton photo in due course and I’m not sure where these pictures will end up but at least they’re on walls for now.

Where Misty Sleeps #7

On the beer, ginger beer and cola shelf

That’ll teach me to run out of Pepsi.

Feeling twitchy

This weekend saw the RSPB’s annual Great Garden Birdwatch.
All this entailed was observing the birds in your garden for an hour, making a note of the largest number of any one species seen at any one time (so that a blue tit returning 10 times didn’t count as 10 blue tits, for example) and then […]

Crustacean

Still in my shell for most of the day.
Finally collected the framed photographs from Frank at noon - and still had to wait for him to finish them off!
I was rather chuffed by the appreciative noises made by a couple of other customers who’d arrived just after me and decided to get the A2 print […]

AWOL

Em3’s blog has had a spam comment left on it too, but who cares about that, eh?
Em3 should have been in work but was roused from his bed at 11am by the trill of his mobile phone. It was Mr Hassle , ringing to check he hadn’t fallen off the train. Em3 confirmed […]

Google (b)Ads

Bob’s blog has had a spam comment left on it.
Nothing unusual about that, of course, although this spam wasn’t a link to a site about viagra, online poker or some strange online poker viagra combination (to help you keep a stiff upper lip while gaming). Bob was suspicious and so checked out the blog before […]

It’s only money

Well, the FatManMobile got through its MOT with the only damage being a week’s salary less in my wallet (and that primarily because I forgot to get it serviced at all last year). I got home to find a card from Peter the Postie - seems I picked the wrong week to order those […]

Hard at work

Bah

Just call me Mr Smooooooooooth

Returning to the dentist’s this morning for a quick check up I noticed that the Cleavage Sisters have been replaced en as it were masse, the reception being manned by a couple of young ladies seemingly struggling to get to grips with everything. A mere 10 minutes after my appointed time, Boss Lady came […]

Damn Woo Hoo!

I had an excellent idea in bed last night.
No, not that sort of idea - an idea for a website.
Darn it, though. I typed the URL into my browser and up came a blank screen - someone else has registered is and they’re not even using it! What a waste.
Hang on - when […]

Like the old days

I seem to be returning to the I-hate-Sundays-because-they-mean-it’s-Monday-tomorrow-and-that-means-work moods again.
I can’t think why. As has already been mentioned, Tall Andy’s empire is swelling on an almost hourly basis and the work’s no more crap than it’s always been. Spring and its traditionally twee photo-ops can’t be far off now, so it can’t be […]

Missing Persons

Writing the last post reminded me of other absent friends. Have you seen any of the following five?
Daisy of Chasing Daisy. Last post 14th December (but recently sighted in the comments box at Croila’s gaff).
The original em of Quick Story fame. Her last post on 1st December 2005 rather worryingly was discussing […]

Snapping at the bit

As I’ve mentioned before, I’m a member of online photography forum ePhotoZine. As well as the online critique (and the vain pursuit of a Readers’ Choice award for one of my photos :-)), members organise occasional get-togethers around the country.
There’s one planned for Norfolk at the end of February so I’ve tentatively stuck my […]

January 2006 has been National Have A Baby Month

Final results are now in1.
The gold medal goes, of course, to blogless Tall Andy and especially to Kitten for delivering “Little Andy” on the 9th (5lbs, 9oz). JonnyB and LTLP get the silver on the 18th (”Servalan”, over 9 lbs) and Mrs McMuffin has duly secured the bronze this morning (”Babycake”, 7lbs 6oz) […]
