Picasa-ing about

St Andrew’s Church, Roudham [ruined]

It being a grotty day, I went for a short drive about to take some snaps with the intention of playing about with them in Picasa, as per Sivani’s tip last month.

Rather that reduce to black and white, I tried the sepia effect for this first snap of Roudham church - burned down in 1765, ironically, when a workman’s pipe set the building on fire when it was being repaired.

I then played with the saturation and colour balance in these other photos. It was a shame that the flock of crows that had been, um, flocking about buggered off as soon as the camera came out (you can see them fleeing in the third photo) and wouldn’t return - they did look rather ominous, circling the ruined tower. Spoilsports!

Driving on, I found the small village of Bridgham and its chickens (no mucking about with this shot!) wandering about a picturesquele dilapidated set of farm buildings - and the chance for one more piece of trickery.

Em³: It certainly is, Maria. I think it’s my favourite piece of free software.
