Got a call today from my dear stepson.

Did he :

  1. just want a chat?
  2. want something?

He told me this Dundonian girl was on the telly being interviewed. Eighteen years old and has six kids.

“What are their names?”, she was asked.

“Och, they’re all called ‘Jimmy’” came the reply.

“Isn’t that confusing?”

“Not at all. If I call oot: “Your tea’s ready, Jimmy.” they a’ come running. If I call oot: “Jimmy, your bath’s run” they all come running too.”

“But what if you want to speak to one of them individually?”

“Oh, I just call them by their surname”.
